How To Manifest Your Dream Life (Step By Step)

OK so let’s talk about manifesting. And before you roll your eyes and think this is going to be all crystals and incense sticks, bear with me here! Because what I’m about to share with you has literally changed my life. And I mean that in the most non-woo-woo, completely real and tangible way possible.

I am a massive, MASSIVE believer in manifestation. Not the kind where you sit on your sofa wishing for a better life. But the kind where you get crystal clear on what you want, you align your thoughts and your actions with that vision, and then you watch…sometimes with your jaw on the floor … as your life starts to shift in ways that feel almost unbelievable.

I know this works because I have lived it.

A few years ago I pinned an image of a cute little villa to my vision board. A sweet family home, the kind with character and charm. Two years later I was signing papers on an investment property that was almost identical to that image. The resemblance was uncanny. And that is just one example, I have done this with holiday homes, with business goals, with health goals, with the way I want to feel every single day.

So if you are ready to learn how to manifest your dream life; properly, step by step; you are absolutely in the right place. Grab a coffee, get comfy and let’s dive in! ☕

What Does Manifesting Actually Mean?

OK first things first. Let’s clear something up because I think the word “manifestation” puts a lot of people off. It sounds a bit out there, right?

But here’s the thing. At its core, manifesting is simply the practice of getting intentional about what you want. It’s about aligning your thoughts, your beliefs and your actions with the life you actually want to create. It’s about deciding …really deciding …what you want and then showing up every day in a way that moves you closer to it.

It is NOT magic. It is NOT sitting back and waiting for the universe to deliver. It IS work. But it is the most exciting, energising, purposeful work you will ever do. Because it’s work you do on yourself and on your future.

The law of attraction, which is the principle behind manifestation, simply says that what you focus on, you attract. Focus on lack, worry and fear and that’s what your life will reflect. Focus on abundance, possibility and growth? Watch what happens. 🌟

Why Manifesting Works (The Science Bit – I Promise It’s Quick!)

Here’s something that blew my mind when I first learned it. Visualisation — one of the core manifestation techniques, actually activates the same neural pathways in your brain as physically doing the thing you’re visualising. Your brain literally cannot fully distinguish between a vividly imagined experience and a real one.

This means that when you spend time every morning visualising your dream life, really feeling it, seeing it, experiencing it in your mind, your brain starts to treat that vision as familiar. As home. And then? Your actions start to align with it naturally.

Athletes have known this for years. Top performers in every field use visualisation as a core part of their practice. And now you get to use it too. 🙌

How To Manifest Your Dream Life – Step By Step

Right, let’s get into it! Here are the exact steps I use and swear by. Work through these in order and I promise you — things will start to shift.

Step 1 – Get Crystal Clear On What You Actually Want

This sounds simple. It is NOT simple. Most of us have a vague idea of what we want …more money, more freedom, more happiness …but we haven’t done the real work of getting specific.

And here’s the thing. You cannot manifest a vague dream. The universe … and your brain .. needs specificity. So this is where we start.

Grab your journal and answer these questions as honestly and specifically as you can:

  • What does my perfect day look like from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep?
  • Where am I living? What does my home look and feel like?
  • What am I doing for work? How many hours am I working? How does it feel?
  • Who am I spending my time with?
  • What does freedom from money worries look like specifically for me — what is the number I need every month to feel truly free?
  • How do I feel every single day in my dream life?
  • What would I do if I knew … absolutely knew … that I could not fail?

Don’t rush this exercise. Come back to it over a few days if you need to. The more specific and vivid your vision, the more powerful everything that follows will be.

Once you’ve journalled it all out, I want you to write your dream life in one paragraph. Present tense. As if it’s already real. This is your foundation. This is what we are working towards. 🌟

Step 2 – Find Your Real Why

I write about this a lot on the blog because I believe in it so deeply, and it applies to manifesting just as much as it applies to goal setting.

Your why is the emotional engine behind everything. It’s the reason you get up and do the work on the days when you’d rather stay in bed. It’s the reason you keep going when things feel slow or hard or like nothing is working.

So ask yourself, why do you actually want your dream life? And then keep asking why until you get to the real answer.

I want financial freedom. Why? Because I want to stop trading my time for money. Why? Because I want to be present for my family. Why? Because at the end of my life I want to know I didn’t miss it.

THERE it is. That’s a why worth manifesting for. ❤️

Write yours down and keep it somewhere you see it every single day.

Step 3 – Build Your Vision Board

A vision board is a visual representation of your dream life. It can be physical, cut out images and stick them on a board, or digital, created in Canva or even just a folder of images on your phone. What matters is that it’s visual, it’s specific to YOUR dream life, and you see it every single day.

Here’s how to create a vision board that actually works:

Choose your life areas – I like to cover six areas:

  • 💰 Career and Money
  • 🏡 Home and Lifestyle
  • 💪 Health and Wellbeing
  • 💕 Love and Relationships
  • 🌍 Travel and Adventure
  • 🌱 Personal Growth and Purpose

Find images that FEEL like your dream life: not just images that look good. Images that when you look at them make you feel something in your chest. That’s the one.

Place your vision board somewhere you will see it every single day: on your office wall, as your phone screensaver, as your laptop background. Somewhere you cannot ignore it.

Look at it with intention every morning: not a casual glance. A real, deliberate, feeling-filled moment where you imagine yourself already living that life.

I created my vision board in Canva and honestly it took less than an hour and it is one of the most powerful hours I ever spent. Do it this weekend. Seriously. 🎨

Step 4 – Try Scripting Manifestation

This is one of my absolute favourite manifestation techniques and honestly one of the most underrated. Scripting is the practice of writing about your future as if it has already happened, in present tense, in full detail, with all the feelings.

So instead of writing “I want to work for myself and have financial freedom” you write:

“It is [future date] and I wake up every morning excited about my day. I work for myself doing work I genuinely love. Money flows into my life from multiple income streams. I have paid off my debt, I have savings in the bank and I feel completely free. I am so grateful for the life I have created.”

Feel the difference? The first version keeps your dream at arm’s length. The second pulls it in close and makes it feel real.

Do this in a dedicated manifestation journal — even just 10 minutes every morning or evening. The more consistently you script, the faster you will start to see shifts in your mindset, your confidence and your actions. And those shifts are what create your dream life. 🖊️

Step 5 – Use The 369 Manifestation Method

Have you heard of the 369 method? It has gone absolutely viral on TikTok and Pinterest and for good reason, it is simple, it is structured and it works beautifully as a daily manifestation practice.

Here is how it works:

  • Write your desire or affirmation 3 times in the morning
  • Write it 6 times in the afternoon
  • Write it 9 times in the evening

Do this for 33 or 45 days consistently. The repetition does something powerful, it trains your subconscious mind to accept your desire as real and inevitable. It keeps your focus laser sharp on what you are calling in. And it creates a beautiful daily ritual around your manifestation practice.

Your intention needs to be specific and written in present tense. Something like:

“I am creating a life of financial freedom and joy. Money flows to me easily and my dream life is becoming my reality every single day.”

Try it for a month and come back and tell me what shifted. I’d love to hear! 🔥

Step 6 – Affirmations For Your Dream Life

Affirmations get a bad rap sometimes. People say them once in the mirror, feel a bit silly and give up. But here’s the thing, affirmations only work if you use them consistently and if you actually believe, or are working towards believing, what you’re saying.

The purpose of affirmations is to gently, consistently reprogram the limiting beliefs that are quietly blocking you from your dream life. Because most of us are carrying around stories that are holding us back. Stories like:

  • Money is hard to earn
  • People like me don’t get to live like that
  • Success is for other people
  • I’m not good enough / smart enough / brave enough

Affirmations replace those stories with new ones. Slowly. Consistently. Powerfully.

Here are some of my favourites for manifesting your dream life:

I am worthy of everything I desire success flows to me easily and abundantly I am building a life I absolutely love I attract opportunities with ease and joy My dream life is not a fantasy … it is my future I am magnetic to everything I desire I trust myself and I trust the process

Say them out loud every morning. Write them in your journal. Put them on your mirror. Pop them in your phone reminders. Make them impossible to ignore. 💫

Step 7 – Visualise Every Single Day

We touched on this earlier but I want to go deeper because daily visualisation is genuinely one of the most powerful things you can do for your manifestation practice.

Here is my simple daily visualisation practice, it takes just 5 minutes and I do it every single morning:

  1. Find somewhere quiet; even just sitting up in bed before you get up
  2. Close your eyes and take three slow deep breaths
  3. Bring your dream life into your mind; not as a vague wish but as a vivid scene
  4. See the details; what are you wearing? Where are you? What can you see around you?
  5. Feel the feelings; the freedom, the joy, the gratitude, the pride
  6. Stay in that feeling for a few minutes
  7. Open your eyes and carry that energy into your day

That’s it. Five minutes. Every day. It sounds almost too simple right? But do it consistently for 30 days and I promise you will notice a shift in how you feel, how you show up and what starts to come into your life. 🌅

Step 8 – Take Aligned Action Every Day

OK here is the step that separates the people who manifest their dream lives from the people who just dream about them. And that is action.

Manifestation without action is just daydreaming. The visualising, the scripting, the affirmations, the vision board – they prime you. They get your mindset right, they align your energy, they keep your focus sharp. But then you have to show up and DO the thing.

The key word here is ALIGNED. You don’t need to take massive overwhelming action. You need to take small, consistent, intentional steps that move you in the direction of your dream life every single day.

Ask yourself every morning: what is ONE thing I can do today that my future self will thank me for?

Maybe it’s writing the first page of your workbook. Maybe it’s sending one email. Maybe it’s reading one chapter of a book that will teach you something you need to know. Maybe it’s simply saying no to something that doesn’t serve your dream life so you can say yes to something that does.

Small aligned actions compound. Day by day, week by week, month by month … they add up to something extraordinary. And one day you’ll look up and realise your dream life isn’t something you’re working towards anymore. It’s something you’re living. 🙌

Step 9 – Clear Your Limiting Beliefs

This one is big. Really big. Because you can do all the visualising and scripting and affirmations in the world — but if you have deep rooted limiting beliefs running in the background, they will quietly sabotage everything.

A limiting belief is a story you have about yourself or the world that is keeping you small. Some of the most common ones I hear from women in my community are:

  • I don’t deserve to be happy
  • Success has to be hard
  • I’m too old / too young / too late
  • Successful people are just lucky
  • I’m not the kind of person who gets to live that kind of life

Sound familiar? These beliefs often come from childhood, from things we were told or things we observed. And they feel so true that we don’t even question them.

But here’s the most liberating thing I can tell you – a belief is just a thought you’ve had so many times it feels like a fact. And you can choose new thoughts. You can choose new beliefs.

Try this exercise:

Identify your limiting belief: Write down the belief that is blocking you most right now.

Question it: Is this actually true? What evidence do I have that it ISN’T true?

Replace it: Write a new belief that feels true or at least possible. Something like “I am learning to create success in a way that feels easy and aligned” or “More and more people just like me are building their dream lives and I can too.”

Work on this one regularly. It is honestly the deepest and most transformational part of the manifesting process. 💪

Step 10 – Build Your Dream Life Daily Habits

Manifesting your dream life isn’t a one time event. It’s a daily practice. It’s a way of living. And the most powerful thing you can do is build it into your daily routine so it becomes as natural as brushing your teeth.

Here is a simple daily manifestation routine to get you started:

Morning (10–15 minutes):

  • 5 minute visualisation
  • Read your affirmations out loud
  • Write your morning scripting or 369 method entries
  • Set one aligned intention for the day

Evening (5–10 minutes):

  • Write 3 things you are grateful for
  • Acknowledge one win from today …no matter how small
  • Evening 369 method entries
  • Visualise tomorrow as perfect before you sleep

That’s it. Less than 30 minutes a day. For the life of your dreams. Worth it? I think so! 🌟

What To Expect When You Start Manifesting

I want to be real with you here because I think managing expectations is important.

Manifestation is not always fast. Sometimes you plant a seed and it takes two years to grow; like my vision board villa! Sometimes things shift quickly and sometimes they take time. And that is OK.

What you will notice first is not usually a big dramatic change in your external circumstances. What you will notice first is a shift in YOU. In how you feel. In how you talk about your future. In the opportunities you start to notice. In the decisions you start to make. In the energy you bring to your days.

And those internal shifts? They are the beginning of everything. They are the foundation of your dream life taking shape.

Trust the process. Stay consistent. Keep going even when you can’t see the results yet. Because they are coming. They absolutely are. 🤍
